A's ABC Book

This book has been a labor of love for A and one I hope to do with each of our kids as they go through the preschool years.

Here are some of A's favorite letters in her book.

F is for feathers

G is for glitter.

J is for jellybeans.

K is for King.

R is for rainbow.

S is for stars.

T is for texture.

V is for vase.

X is for xylophone.

*Many of these ideas came from planted by streams blog and notimeforflashcards.com

Charlotte's Web

We read our first chapter book together!  We read Charlotte's Web and loved it!

It just so happened that we came across a flyer for a children's theater production that was putting on Charlotte's Web.  We were able to go see the play right as we were finishing the last two chapters of our book.  It was a very well done performance and a special night at the theater with my little lady!

Bluebonnets for my birthday!

I had a wonderful 35th birthday with my sweeties.  Loved getting the chance to photograph them in some bluebonnets.

Catching up...

Grant had a wonderful basketball season playing for the Wolverines.

Playing with his buddies Lucas & Jayden made it extra-fun.

Tyler was the coolest-ever mascot.  Batman took a victory run everytime the Wolverines scored.

Tyler enjoyed playing basketball at the Y.  The kids & I would go play around noon when the courts were empty.  We enjoyed some seriously awesome games.

He shoots...

He scores!

Taking care of Buoy has been a wonderful first job experience.  The kids love Buoy & are learning so much.

We made bouncy balls that didn't really bounce so well.  Hmmm...my attempt to convince the kids that chemistry is fun didn't seem to work.

We also made soft pretzels as part of our study on German-American immigrants.  They were YUMMY!

My "Mini-Me" and I have enjoyed several (5-mile) hikes with the rest of the family.  We also enjoy riding in Dad's new truck.

Grant graduated from Nitro 2 Swim.  Tyler & Elizabeth are still working hard in Nitro 2.  Elizabeth also finished her gymnastics class which she LOVED.
