Mozart Ballet & Lunch with Friends
Super-fun day to be a homeschooling family! We took a field trip with good friends to see a ballet about Mozart. The play was witty & fun while also being educational about Mozart's young life. I wish I had seen this play before I went to Vienna. Perhaps I would have appreciated seeing Schonbrunn palace more if I had known a little history. It is amazing how education makes the world so much more interesting, like lightbulbs are constantly turning on in our heads.
We then enjoyed lunch at Whole Foods with a fun group of friends. (We had 22 on the field trip) I laughed at how even eating at Whole Foods, the kids ended up ordering cheese pizza and donuts. G did love his strawberry juice, though.
We also visited with some new friends from CC today. It was so much fun to get to know a new family better & to feel like we are making new homeschooling friends.

Second Semester
Tomorrow we begin our second semester. None of us are ready; we have had SUCH a wonderful Christmas break. I'm just so thankful that we are not dropping the boys off at school in the morning. I'm thankful that we will be here together, learning & experiencing the ups & downs of life together. I am amazed at how much we did last fall & looking forward to new adventures in learning this spring.
Lord, I pray that you will bless our time together this coming semester. Please help us to be diligent in our studies and deep in our love. Amen.
