Hey Grizwolds...Remember the Alamo!

Last weekend the Grizwold May family went to San Antonio again.  The kids were most excited to see the Alamo.  It is amazing how homeschooling has re-opened their love of learning.  We talked about how the more we learn, the more interesting life becomes.  The Alamo was VERY crowded, so we kind of breezed through it.  But, once we exited, the kids were delighted to "meet" Davy Crockett.

A highlight of the trip was having the opportunity to see the Mary Poppins Broadway Musical.  The tickets were a present for E's 5th birthday.  The show exceeded our expectations.  The set design & special effects were amazing.  We all loved when Mary Poppins "flew" away with her umbrella.  What an experience it was for us to ride in our first taxi to the Majestic Theater for an evening show.  Awesome!  Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures because camaras were not allowed.

Did I mention we are the Grizwolds????  Here is a quick sampling of why:

Exploring the San Antonio Zoo in the pouring rain.

Eating "Only the World's Largest Cinnamon Roll"

Hearing the history of the Riverwalk for the umpteenth time and loving it more than the last

C throwing the kids in the river

Paying $50 to eat dog food at Rainforest Cafe so our kids can watch the jungle come to life

Exploring Natural Bridge Cavern

Feeding the animals at Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.  Our little animal lover still wanted to feed the goats after she was bit by a crazy ostrich...in the backseat of our car!
